Could you donate a coat to someone who is cold?
This winter, Plymouth's libraries are inviting the community to donate coats they no longer require so that they are made available in libraries to anyone who needs them.
Winter can be a challenging season for many, especially those who lack adequate shelter or resources to stay warm. Libraries become so much more than places for reading and studying; they become warm, welcoming social spaces.
How to donate a coat
Go through your cupboards and find coats you no longer need. We accept coats for both adults and children. Please ensure the coats are clean and in good condition.
Drop them off at any of these participating libraries during their opening hours:
Participating libraries will accept donations of coats and make them available to those who need them from November 2023 until the end of March 2024.
